Our company can also supply 3D models for Building Information Modelling. BIM is quickly growing in adoption across the whole construction industry and we have invested time and money preparing our company since 2014 for the future of BIM surveys.
There are many levels to the BIM process. Depending on your requirements, a basic 3D mass model may be sufficient, or you may require full detail showing the topography of the land in 3D or even down to the position of lights and fittings. We can even add the underground services to our models in 3D.
The more detail we model, the more time it takes and therefore the higher the cost of the survey, so please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your project and the level of detail you require.
Our company offer Leica TruView as part of our growing number
of services. You can download TruView plug-in for use with Internet Explorer,
which is free to download and use.
With Leica Geosystems TruView, itís possible for clients to download
actual 3D co-ordinates, which will allow them to take accurate measurement
distances. The data appears directly within the point cloud image. Itís also
simple to make mark ups, which can then be saved and shared with your co-workers
and clients for more efficient communication.
Itís possible to then publish scanned laser images over the
internet, which can then be viewed and measured online, or via your companyís intranet
or computer network. The Leica TruView system is available to anyone who wishes
to use it, measure or mark up derailed, laser scan point clouds. The only requirement
to view the files we create is a working Internet connection and the
installation of the TruView plug-in for Internet Explorer.
Using the Leica TruView software requires no training or
previous knowledge of CAD or 3D software is needed. Leica TruView can make panoramic
images of point clouds, which are then stitched together on your computer to
appear as if you are standing where the laser scanner was placed. You can then rotate
the view of the image, and pan horizontally or vertically around it.
